berlin and listen/hear
SO,
Extended break from musical or artistic endeavours for a short while. I have now moved to Berlin for an extended stay, a transition that is in some ways rather simple and uncomplicated, yet in others quite strange and obtuse.
So far: learning German, eating well, attending some concerts and relaxing.
Soon: become good at German, play more concerts, work out what we are all doing, and finish some projects.
But since I have been here I haven’t been doing absolutely nothing! I recently completed a remix for Australian Jazz / other group Motion, for their track here.now, which was something really fun and I am really pleased with the results. The remix album will shortly be released – head over to listen/hear.
Motion have their debut album Presence on the label listen/hear collective, which is a fantastic group of artists and promoters that are doing really great things. Keep your ears peeled as I will too be working with that label shortly!
The label also recently released a Japan fundraiser album – to which I contributed my new track “Epiphanic”. This is a continuing cause, and all proceeds will be donated to the Japanese Red Cross.
I’ve also realised my website requires a somewhat massive update, so I will be adding in all my projects over the past while, fixing up this lack of posts and generally filling it with hopefully wonderful content. Stay tuned!
