hypnogenia camera installation
My work hypnogenia is still up at Scitech. So far it has been there 2.5 weeks and roughly 1,500 people have seen / played with the work which is fantastic.
The aim of this piece was to develop the work in a way that made it directly interactive and build upon the synaesthetic relationship by giving it a spatial dimension. The melding of movement, sight and sound makes the work interesting to play with and generate unique sounds for each shape, position and movement.
Thanks so much to Claire Pannell and her Analog to Digital event, and of course for Scitech for letting me keep the work up so long!
I’m hoping to work with Scitech more in the future, generating interest and awareness in sound art from the ground up.
The work is still up for the immediate future so please get down and check it out.
(thanks to the girls who kindly interacted)
(I wish that the title of this piece could be spelled correctly, alas that doesn’t seem to happen!)
